.308 srp

OP,
Depending on the manufacturer of your SRP brass-

The flash hole will be .062" or .075" diameter.

Use the appropriate primer punch rod & pin diameter.

(hint- the .075" diameter flash hole will give less ignition issues)

Suggest you look into Mighty Armory decapping dies. I am famous for breaking any tool I touch if you give me enough time. I haven't broken this tool yet. I can deprime heavily crimped military brass with this tool, leaving the .058 small flash hole pin (not their idea,) but that's how WreckumRalph rolls!I bought 3 spare small flash holder decapping pins, haven't had to use one yet.

I have one of those Frankford hand depriming tools. One of the best investments yet for the reload kit. Use it on the 2nd step for my brass prep. I have since removed all my decap pins in the full length dies.

Had to get a lee small pin decapper for it to get the small rifle primers. Still works great for the large rifle as well. For $6 I bought 2, so I have one as a spare.

Other option is throwing the pin you have into a drill and filing it down to fit the small primer pocket.

Lapua SRP 308 has a very small flash hole thats 0.059". Smaller decap pins are available from most die manufactures or a spin in the drill with fine emery paper will make it whatever size you require. This is known as Palma brass which is no longer available
