Will using a donor action form a (Rem 700) .308 to rebarrel to a 260 result in "smooth" feeding from the magazine. Also, I believe the rim diameter of the 260 is about 5/000 less than the 308. Is that an issue!
As the 260 is just a 308 necked down to 6.5, there is no practical difference between their rim sizes whatsoever. Yes, it will feed as smoothly as a stock 308. - dan
As Dan has said, it's the exact same case, just switch on and headspace a .260 barrel and done. It will function just as well as it did as a .308, guaranteed.
