308 to a mile?? Using a Savage model 12 F-TR

Tried to get an FTR from Wholesale on a 15% off thingy but they didn't have one as far as their computers could see. Wasn't surprised but disappointed.

Thought about another BR model for this. Then rebarrel to 6mmBR after. But none aswell.

Had it stuck in my mind I needed at 1 in 10.
 
Jerry, i have one thought about the 2x4 thing.

Wouldnt you have to align the bottom of the board level (zero mark) with the bottom of the one mile target? From the perspective of the shooting position. So that the premeasured length is in the same plane as the target? Thats the only way the calculated MOA measurement would be proportionate.

Am I overthinking this? Lol!
