I am contemplating using a Winchester 88 308 for shooting coyotes and am wondering what would be a good bullet. Shots would be out to 250 yds or so and hide damage is not a consideration. I don't want any zingers so I was thinking Sierra 110gr hollow points or Speer 125gr TNT. Has anyone got any hands on experience with these or any other varmint bullets in 308?
Thanks

I used to use my 30/06 to shoot varmints before I picked up a real varmint rifle. I had really good results with the Speer 130 gr hollow points. They seemed a bit more accurate than any of the lighter bullets that I tried.

110 grain Vmax shoot well in my 30-06, and both others Ive owned as well. No reason why they couldnt shoot well in a 308
