Has anyone chronographed the factory FGMM load .308 Win 175gr SMK out of a 20" barrel Rem700 SPS 1 in 10 rifle?

I'm curious as to what the actual factory load is measuring out of the muzzle so I can work to emulating it with hand loads.

Anyone?

Your better off just working up your own load.

I've tried twice to make something close to a factory load that shot well but it never worked. I think its due to factory ammo using powder that we might not be able to get.

Also velocitys will vary with bore condition and temp so another rifles velocity might be 100fps off yours on the same day.

Seen.
Am still curious however.
Thanks for the information though Sir.

The load is easy, you should watch this video if you'd like to roll your own.

I haven't tried it in the rifle you have, but from one rifle to another, the velocity can float a bit anyway, but I think you'll be around 2570 fps or close to it. But that can change from one day to the next depending on temperature of the ammo, temperature of the barrel, size of your chamber, size and strike force of your firing pin etc. But you'll be close to 2570 I think. The fastest I've heard of is about 2650 but that was with a longer barrel which would be faster..

I ran a bunch of 175 FGMM through my 22" M14. IIRC the MV was about 2580-2600. Significantly faster than the 168 Norma ammo i had, that hovered around 2500 fps
