A relatively small portion of Ontario "10% of the province that has 90% of the population" type situation has a calibre restriction for small game hunting. Nothing larger then .275. Typically in these areas deer may only be hunted with shotguns. Their are no bears or moose in these parts of the province so they dont factor into any equation.
The problem is since most of the people in ON live in these areas, they somehow think it applies to the whole province. It most definitely does not. I live but 200KM away and can hunt deer, bear, moose with any non-restricted centre fire gun i want.
