308 win load ?????

My 308 target load is:

Remington brass
SIerra 155 grain HPBT Palma Match bullets
46 grains of Varget <--*EDITED*
OAL 2.80"


So far this combo shoots .2 - .4 " at 100 meters in my custom remington with a Hart barrel.

I think you have made a mistake?:eek:
shouldn't it be 46 grains??:rolleyes:

thanks guys, there is nothing wrong with either load and i will load and use them both, i was expecting a little more from it, the published velocity numbers in the manuals are hard too find with my guns, i guess just a little short of a 30-06, wade
 
i've used nothing but 180's and 44 grains of 748 for the last 20 -30 years- seems to work fine, in spite of the temp problems others say they've had with that powder-
 
yes i have found w748 and varget, imr-4064 will do it , the startng loads if you have a chrony will make you think as velocitys are very low in 22 inch barel, the closer you get to max loads you will see better bullet speed, but if you are a cautios loader as i am, you may wonder if you are stressing your gun to much before the velocity numbers go up.
