Hi, I am new to reloading .308 and need some help.
I have a Dillon 550b press and purchased the .308 conversion kit which I installed already.
I purchased a Hornady .308 match grade die set which comes with deprimer die and seating die (w/micrometer).
I am using Hornady .308 WIN Match brass and Hornady MATCH 30 cal (.308) BTHP bullets
The first issue is as follows, after installing both dies on my press, the first stage is depriming, but even after completely screewing the depriming pin, it is still to short to remove the primer! There is like an inch missing to be able for the pin to remove the primer.
The second issue, is that my brass opening is a 0.002 larger than the bullets and they slip right into the casing. I am assuming that I am using the wrong bullets for these brass casings, but would need some guidance from an experienced reloader for this type of setup!
Can add pictures if explanation is not clear.
Thanks in advance,
Nick
