Imr 4895 4064 and Varget are all great powders

My target loads for my 308 are Varget Ive used 4064 and reloader 15 before. But Varget is my current favourite

My standard two powders are 4895 and 3031 for all my shooting needs including 308.

I do have a pound of Varget sitting around...for those who say its hard to find my LGS has about 15 pounds of it sitting around.

Varget and RL15 are my two .308 go to powders. Mostly varget these days though as I got 8lbs of it.
It's also great for .223.

I have used WW-748, H-BLC2,Varget, IMR 4064 with great results.

Also look at IMR 4895, RL-15.

8208 XBR is a great powder for 223 & 308

I have used Varget since it hit the Canadian market and really don't see any reason to change unless I can't find any when needed. I would then change back to IMR 4895 that I haven't used since the early 90's.

This. Unless you are running a short barrel the. I would be 4895 first choice

I've been using IMR 4895 for years, no reason to change here. Get great results shooting 168gr projectiles.

Varget for my bolt actions and H4895 for my semi's. IMR4064 is also very good and very similar to Varget in burning rate.
