308 WIN Rifle With Hinged Floor Plate or Internal Magazine

I have picked-up a nice new-old-stock Remington 700 SPS Tactical with a 16.5" heavy barrel yesterday.

I picked it up from a local small gunshop. The price was very attractive as it sold for $210 less than anywhere else.

By the way, in the process, I had an opportunity to get my hands on a CZ 600 Lux in 308 yesterday.

Boy that rifle felt nice in the hand. The bolt was glass smooth and the bolt throw was very short.

I wouldn't be surprised to find a CZ 600 in my safe one day!

it does not prevent any double feeding or other issues but what it does is that the extractor will strongly extracts case issue but do not fool yourself in thinking crf is the solution to all ...

Since you have a Ruger GSR this would complement it with the longer barrel length (22" barrel or 20" for the compact), also both are control round feed Mauser 98 type action rifles. The one made by BARCO are very nice rifles.

They look like Burris rings and bases with a rear extension ring installed “backwards”.

Remington Model Seven...blind magazine.
But, I would still suggest a removable magazine even though you dont want one ...
Only for ease of when deer hunting for ease of operation or possible two different types/weights of ammo for a specialty situation that may or may not occur.

Well, I sort of did in the end.

I bought a Remington 700 SPS Tactical and replaced the Hogue stock with a Magpul Hunter, and installed the Magpul AICS magazine kit conversion.
 
Pictured here with the Magpul Hunter 700, an almost flush-fitting Ruger Scout 3-round magazine, a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 3-9×40 and low Talley scope base/rings.

I only have about 100 rounds through so far, but with this Magpul stock setup I find the recoil to be softer than my Ruger Scout 18.5", and also softer than with the original Hogue stock.

I like it enough that I ended-up selling my Ruger Scout.
