.308 Win with 165gr and Benchmark?

Has anyone had any luck with this combo? I’m looking for an Extreme Powder that’s not sensitive to temp. I tried it a while ago and got a decent ladder test out of my Weatherby Vanguard and Vortex Diamond Back at 100yds.
Anyone got any other powders they have had decent luck with? Id like to stay away from Varget for two reasons. #1, it’s impossible to get when the world is unstable like now, and #2, it’s going up past $65/lb where I am. (Also I have great luck with BM in my .223 Rem). I’m not looking to punch hole for hole but definitely looking to be sub MOA for general hunting.

I haven’t tried benchmark, but reloader15 , IMr 4064, and imr 4895 would be my alternatives to vArget. My Lyman manual lists N150 as the potentially most accurate load. You should play around with bullet seating depth and shoot groups of 5. It should be shooting one ragged hole.
My current load is 43 gr of varget with 175 gr bullets , and 44 gr varget with 168s

I’m gonna try to find some reloder 15. Almost every where I looked online had that and IMR4064 as the go to powder. I’m still gonna try to play with BM, but RL 15 is definatly in the cards when I can get somewhere to get some.
I’m gonna try my darnedest to find a load that works well with Hornady SST in 165 cause for some reason I really like that bullet.
I shot a nice buck with it this year and it was a “bang-flop”. She took a nice med-size buck this year with a 7mm-08 and the 139gr SST, it was also an immediate drop in its tracks.
Looking to make the 500yd shots with this .308, so I’m looking to roll out the most accurate hunting round I can.

Benchmark may be a little fast for 165 grain bullets perhaps. H4895 is a good extreme powder for accuracy, but it may not get you the velocities of Varget.

The Reloader powders are usually temperature sensitive except for a couple of their new offerings. I would try N140 or N150 if you can find it, super clean burning as well. H4895 also worth a shot or IMR 4166.
