I realize the mag length is the ultimate limiter, this rechamber, if it happens, will be a Parker Hale Mauser action that is presently 30-06. Anyone loaded for the 308NM in the Mauser action? Was the chamber throat ever a limiting factor with the 220s? There is a thread on this in "Gunsmithing" if anyone has experience with that end of it. Thanks.

For a given magazine lenght (say std 3.400"), a 220 grainer bullet will deeper in a .300 WM than in a .308 NM.
I nver found an original P-H chambered in .308 NM to have leade lenght "problem", but if you take a short leade reamer, then, you may end up with a problem.
