OK fellows.. I'm looking to try and serve this cocktail to some furry friends this fall. Any accurate recipes? My bullet would probably be a Sierra spitzer or Hornady Interbond but open to others.

Edit* I am thinking around 45.5 gr. Should be good for around 2750 ft/sec.

I just loaded up some 150 gr spritzers for the fall. I used 45 gr or H4895.
According to QuickLoad it's 2900 ft/s.
 
I think I'm tossing the Hornady Interlock SP in 150's with IMR 4320 around
the 2700 fps also.
Good medicine for fur.
Beaner's can almost break paper in between holes at 100 yards with her Stevens 200.
First three rounds anyways.
 
Many CGNers lack reading comprehension skills. Here are two more "answers" to amuse you:

- I like grapes; and
- my cat's breath smells like cat food.

and finally:

- I have used up to 50.0 grs of BL-C(2) with a 150 gr FMJ in the 308. That's over the published max of 48.0 grs, but it was seated long. I don't recommend going higher than 48.0 grs, nor lower than about 45.0 grs, i.e. work in the 45.0-48.0 range. Use a magnum primer.

BL-C(2) and other Ball Powders suitable for the 308 like H380 just don't get the respect they deserve, due to usual excellent results people get with Varget and RL15.
 
Around 46 grains of BL-C(2) in military cases will approximate 7.62 NATO ballistics. It is essentially a canister-grade equivalent to WC 846.
 
I'm about to start load dev with Ball C2. How do you guys find the temperature sensitivity and accuracy compared to H4895, Varget, and RL15?

I'm going to be loading for an m305 and 22" 1:11 bolt, so I'm hoping one powder will work for both.

In an M305 (a semi-auto), I'd stick with H4895 or IMR4895, or powders very close to them burn rate, so as to operate the gas system in a way that's conducive to its long life. Varget, RL15 and BL-C(2) work well for some people, but fall just a bit outside that range on the slow side IMO. IMR4064 is a good choice.
 
I've had luck with 42 grains of BL-C(2) in .308 with 150s, but i'm loading for a m1916 spanish mauser (1893 rebarreled to 7.62x51 in the 60s), so i was going for lower pressure. 38kPSI, around 2550-2600fps with military brass, is mor ethan enough for deer. quicktarget puts them at +/- 2 inches from zero to about 230 yards with a 200 yard zero. The graph for 2900fps looks almost identical. No sense beating the crap out of yourself and making a follow up more difficult :)
