Just watched a video from MDT about not using a death grip.
I beg to differ.
Four rounds sitting behind a BogDG at 1/2 mile. 5 inch circle.

A week later two more with left elbow on the hood of my truck at 1/2 mile.
3inch circle.

I have a couple of the MDT chassis with AR type pistol grips installed. My groups average smaller sizes when I hold the pistol grip properly but let the rifle still have some free recoil.

First time I ever saw a rifle shot without being gripped but gently resting their thumb on the same side as trigger finger I laughed a little. I was picturing them being scoped by a magnum. Now in F-Class 1000 yard shooting with a 4oz trigger and the gun setup to slide perfectly the same way every time where you try your best not to touch the damn gun and peek through the scope ever so gingerly, that no grip style works the best. 4oz triggers for God’s sake.

Now about this left elbow. Are you a RH or LH shooter? Trying to picture your stance.

Right handed sitting on my arse with right elbow on knee, left hand holding the fore end. Thumb on palm side doesn't help, maybe it's a light trigger thing.
