I am currently running a 30mm burris PEPR on my MDT Tac 21. And im in the market for something a little beefier. I was looking at the Vortex mounts sold by One Shot, and they are nice and not too ridiculously priced. They also have the quick detach ability, which is nice but not completely necessary.

So whats out there in the way of solid 30mm mounts?

Also the biggest question is where can i order one from?

Thanks,
Adam

The Vortex ones are made by ADM and we have lots of the 2" and 3" offset ones in stock.

Lots of guys running these and very happy with them.

I just sold my Aimpoint H1 and will be running a Vortex PST 1-4 in the 2" mount on my AR.

ADM mounts are the BEST ones made right now, IMHO. Better clamping than Larue, and a company that will actually SELL product to Canadians!

I have three ADM 30mm mounts. A Recon - cantilever, Scout - cantilver, and Scout - straight. Also a bunch of Aimpoint mounts by ADM. I don't think I'd run a different 30mm mounts any more... ADM rocks!

The only difference between Recon and Scout models are 2 clamps vs. 1. Both provide more than enough clamping force.

I prefer the ADM mounts as well (using them on all of my scoped rifles). The ability to adjust the tension on the locking levers is invaluable.

If you don't like the QD, Nightforce makes their Unimount.

Another big thumbs up for ADM!

Will ADM ship directly to Canada? I'm looking at the recon high mount.

I'm running the ADM Recon Mount on my TAC21, my scope is 50mm and it clears fine. Walter at Arms East carries them. ADM can't ship directly without paperwork.

We've got some of the AD-RECON-H mounts arriving next week.

The H version would be too high for the TAC21.

Why too high? I'm running q Burris PEPR and find I have to really bring my head down to get a nice sight picture. I'm 6'7 250lbs.

Hmm strange, with a regular recon mount and 50mm optic, I have plenty of adjustment either way, up or down on my PRS. I have my cheek rest up about a half inch, and shes perfect. If you go higher you may run out of cheek rest adjustment. I'm confused as to why you have to come down so low...
