.311, 125gr bullets in .303Br

CE Harris says

"125 grain plain based "small game/gallery" 900-1000 f.p.s., 5 grains of Bullseye or equivalent."
Equivalent = WW231, SR-7625, Green Dot, Red Dot or 700-X

These are good out to 50 yards and cheap to run. If you wanna go further I d suggest a heavier boolit.

If you do insist on trying to run these further. Then I d suggest 16gr of 2400.

Also .311 is probably going to be too small for the enfield.

I have the bullets, just haven't had the chance to work up a load yet. Let me know how it goes. I was planning on using BLC-2 or IMR 3031 and CCI BR II's........
I do have a pound of Varget kicking around. Hmmmmmmm. Now you got me thinking again. Keep us posted, I am interested to hear of your results.

.311 is perfect for the Enfield its all I run.

Oh! I was totally thinking cast boolits! Lol I don't know why I thought of that. .311 works just great in jacketed. Forget everything I said lol

I usually use H4198 for light bullets in the 303 Brit (36.0-40.0 grs with the 125 gr), but of other powders mentioned (Varget, BLC-(2) and IMR3031), I'd use 40.0-43.0 grs of IMR-3031.

I tried some for fun. 3031 powder worked very well. Didn't group as well as the plain old 180 gr bullets do so never loaded anymore. Hopefully your rifle would group them better than mine did.
