311?

They're not the prettiest... Some gun snobs will whine about the cheap looking finnish and the somewhat fugly furnature, but when it comes to throwing lead down range what does that matter...?
I've fired 1000's of rounds through mine over the last 5 or 6 years... no problems....

Works great. Probably the most realiable/accurate rifle that Norinco ever made.

Give it a new finish, new furniture, and you're in business. I'm considering selling mine. It's refinished with GunKote in Matte Black and A2 furniture... PM me if you're interested.

Most AR-15 parts will fit, with the exception of anything that requires threads.

Norinco's use metric threads on everything. Metal quality is good as far as I know, all aluminum, and never had any problems at ALL with it.

So who sells these things?
BTW thanks for all your input:D

I understand that the 311 hasn't been manufactured since the late eighties...
NIB rifles are out there, but it's not like stores can just order 'em up...

It should be interesting to see if norinco will sell complete uppers for a reasonable price, like 3 or 400 bucks instead of paying through the nose for the same thing from kanadian dealers....$940.00 for an 11.5" upper??????!!!!!!!!I can't justify paying the going rate for an AR-15 in .223 when the norinco M-14 in .308 is such a smokin' deal......And you can legally hunt with it.....for now.
