Got a drill press? Been thinking about doing one myself. Copy the pattern off of an already ported barrel and drill the holes.

Tacord, does list an hourly rate, which is $60. Contact him directly, he always replys in good time. Casey has done lots of work for me, his prices are more than reasonable.

Slow with press drill, i have some plumber that have ruined their barrel, you need a dividing head and a milling OR a JIG but even with a 300$ JIG, my friend have not the GOOD result of TacOrdnance
I have Casey do the COMPLETE vang comp on mine, it was around 275$ BUT you can probably have ONLY the port for less but the backboring is working VERY WELL on mine and i'am planning to have it done on my 18in now

Porting does nothing for the performance of a shotgun. Only makes it louder. Isn't it loud enough now?

+1 for TacOrd but he told me that is rate went up in the new year to $75. I squeeked in with an order placed last year so I got ht e original $60 hr. I will also testify that he is a friendly, courteous service oriented smith who takes his work seriously and does a quality job. He throws in excellent adive to boot if you ask and are willing to listen.

+1 Billion for TacOrd. WOOT!

Casey at Tacord did a full Vang Comp job on my 14" Dlask barrel. Beautiful workmanship. And by far the best customer service I've experienced.

vang comp

For those who who have given their barrels the vang comp treatment: Is it worth it? Have your patterns improved like they state in the testimonials?
