I'll be brewing up some 32-20 115 gr cast reloads in the next week or two.
They are for a Model 25 Huskie with a 25.5" bbl; single lug bolt action.
Using Starline brass as well.
Anyone have any pet loads they want to share?
1500 fps doesn't seem like an unreasonable number if no pressure signs are exhibited.
 
All the usual warnings apply to these loads; Safe in my guns a 92 , work up slowly etc. etc.

14.0 gr RE 7 ; 12.0 gr. IMR 4198; 10.0 gr IMR 4227; 8.5 gr lil Gun; 9.0 gr 2400; 5.5 gr Unique all with WSR primers;

I had an old Colt Lightning pump in .32-20 so I kept the loads light. 9 grs of 2400 with a 100 gr lead plain based bullet. It was still a great small game load. Killed without any meat loss.
 
Here are some loads from my own Husky M25 in 32-20.

All with H4227, best loads in GREEN. H4227 is a little slow for the highest MV's in the 32-20, but worked well in my gun.

90 gr cast - 8.0 grs - 950 fps

127 gr cast - 8.0 grs - 850 fps, 12.0 grs (full) - 1625 fps

160 gr cast - 8.0 grs - 850 fps, 10.0 grs - 1315 fps

180 gr cast - 8.0 grs - 1000 fps


You can see with the 8.0 gr loads that it was only when the bullet got heavy that pressure got up. I'd treat these as max for that gun, although you could go to about 2000 fps with the 90 gr bullet (16.0 grs?), and about 1150 fps with the 180 gr bullet (9.0 grs?).

With your 115 gr bullet, you could work up to a full case of H4227 and be at about 15.0 grs and 1800 fps. 1500 fps would come at about 10-11 grs.

Not that I recorded. If the twist was 12:1 or faster it wouldn't normally be a problem for the 180's and 1:14 usually stabilizes 160's.

Upon returning I checking and the bullet are 78 gr RN BB.
Be great for gophers but pretty light for everything else.
I'll be looking into heavier bullets soon.
