Ricohman: the hammer is meant to be between the two sears but not contacting both at the same time.
the forward sear releases the hammer , when the hammer comes back down the rear sear hold the hammer down till you release the trigger forward, immediately the forward sear re-engages the hammer .
The sears and hammer contact points shoud be parallel , if not then you should send it in as these parts are machined , unlike stamp parts which are easily bent back . Imho.
I get it. They are not parallel. Close, but not quite. And the part is machined. I thought of dressing the end that contacts the disconnect sear as that is the end that hangs up. But then the hammer is not true to the main sear and in time that could cause problems. It's a new gun from Tactical and I sent them an email. I don't expect it to be a problem getting another one, but I thought if this was a simple problem endemic to the Skorpion maybe there was an easy fix and I wouldn't have to go through the hassle of sending it back.
I'll get some pics up later.
