.32 long colt price/availability

I just missed a sweet deal on the EE for a Marlin 1892 lever action in .32 long colt. Just wondering what the situation on this ammo is. Is is still fairly common/ cheap or is it like strictly handloading and small lots at gun shows at this point?

From what I understand the modern 32 Long Colt shoots like crap through the older Marlin rifles. Reason being the modern is internally lubed, while the Marlins were designed for a heeled externally lubed bullet.
