Hey all,
Does anyone know where I can find this ammunition? I inherited my granddad's old Stevens Favorite in .32 long along with about 40 rounds of 60 year old ammunition. I sill works, but 9 times outta 10 the primers blow out, givng me that "i really shouldn't do this" feeling. I've never let my kids fire the rifle for this reason. I only put about 10 rounds through it about 10 years ago, but I would like to try it with newer ammunition. Any help would be appriciated.:D

keep eye on EE, gun shows sell boxes here and there, 32rimfire are legal, not prohibited like 32 centerfire, you will pay 60.00 a box old or new

Ammo is extremely scarce.... And hasn't been produced at all since the 60's.

Ammo cost can be prohibitive for some.

I've gotten loose .32 rf shorts for $0.62 a round, and the most I've paid for really clean .32 rf longs is $2.00 a round ($100.00 for a box of 50)

Realistically though, it is supply and demand. The ammo generally costs anywhere from $1.00 - $2.50 depending on type, make, vintage, condition, and if it comes in a pretty box.

Deals can be had at gunshows if you are patient

Good luck!

.32 ammo is not prohibited.
Rimfire is obsolete.
Centerfire is commercially available and completely legal to purchase or load up yourself.

Good point , I was refereing to the "prohibited" calibre category of post 2, but yes there are guns with exceptions like the skorpion 32ACP,

It can be reloaded,If you search the web you will find out how.some thing about using the tips off light anywhere matches,a small amount of water and a nail head to pack into the rim.personaly if fiooci is selling new ones buy as many as you can afford.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! You've all been very helpful. $100 for 50 rounds does seem a bit steep....
