Quick question. I've read in one of my FN/Browning books that the .32 mags for the browning 1922 will work fine in a .380 version. Anyone try this?

It has not worked for me.

I have previously said that it did work. I bought a model 1922 off of Marstar. It was a 32 cal gun. Marstar changed the barrel to 380 Auto to change the class to restricted. All other parts (including the mag) was the same.

Finally when I inserted 380 Auto into the mag they were too wide. You can squeeze them in but the spring could not force them up. I have a couple of 32 mags from different guns and have found the same thing. Since Marstar sold it to me with the non-working 32 mags I wonder if some may work. You would think Marstar should have tried this.

Anyone have any spare 380 mags for a model 1922?

Many years ago I picked up a 1910 Browning. It came with 7.65mm and 9mm Brng. barrels, and magazines marked for each calibre. It all worked just fine.

Think all tradeex's are .32.

Seems to be a mixed reaction. I'd like to get a few extra mags for my little pistol but .380 ones are scarse...

1910/1922

Hi

I have a 1910 that I switch from 32 to 380 and vice versa without any trouble.

The only difference between mags are the number of holes on the side the rest work nicely, never had any trouble to feed 32 in 380 mags ou 380 in 32 mags.

I tried my 380 mag in a guys 32 and it would not feed the 32 hardly at all. They'd hand cycle ok but jam every time firing. Go figure.
