i, guessing there is nobody selling this in canada..... ?
well i have seen it for sale from several u.s. shops... but i was woundering how one would import it.. i would think it cannot be done through the post??

i was going to the u.s. in a few weeks and was thinking that i proably could bring the ammo back.. but what is the legalities for this ? as ive not a firearms license.. (im not premenent resident here.. )
is there any legality on me having ammunition with me, if i have a valid firearms license from another nation..........

any new stuff, a few years ago some company
made a run of this stuff, but all gone,
thou I have not checked last while.
You see it at gunshows sometimes.
The last box I sold ,I got $1.00 /round
Alot of it is too old to fire.
 
Good luck getting any..... If you do manage to get some buy double what you want and I'll buy the rest! You can get reloadable cases from www.hc-collection.com in france but they don't work well in revolvers. I am currently testing some cases a friend and I have been making. If we can find a cheaper way to make them we may sell some but they are currently very labour intensive. Also in need of a bullet mold for .32 rim and it's very hard to find and complicated to make.
 
I just bought some of the reloadable ones from France. They cost me $4.30 EACH by the time I got them here. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet.
They got rejected by customs on the first try but came through on the second attempt....wTc

Obsolete ammo falls under different export rules than regular ammo. I don't know what the laws are now, but before the recent export changes there was a clause dealing with obsolete ammo.
 
anyone tried 7mm nailgun or 6.35 nailgun ammon being put into the hull of a.32 s&w case with the rim ground off......
 
I'm in the process of making up some cases that accept a .22 blank much like the HC ammo. Very labour intensive though and bullets are a real issue as the diameter of the .32 rim bullet is larger than a standard .32 colt or .32 S&W. Anyone know of a cartridge that these guns can be rechambered for without losing antique status?
 
The .320 center fire cartridge cambers perfectly in a 32 rim. i found that
the .27cal nailgun blanks from home depot are just a bit smaller than the
.32 rimfire heads so i made up a few rounds from drilled out .320's but i
still need to find 32 colt heeled bullets.
the 32 colt(not colt new police)should camber as well in a 32 rim i have
never tried but i believe the 32 colt brass is the same as .320 except with a thicker rim.
I'm planning on looking for some 32colt brass at the local gunshow this weekend to experiment with.

hi , yeah.. this iis what i was thinking of..
there is some guys in the u.s. selling .32 heeled bullets..
ill look it up let me know if you have luck with getting this to work , i was going to try this my self..
 
hey you know where to get the nailgun blanks for a decent price?
i noticed here the boxes are the same price and size as a 200 round packet , but there is only something like 20 rounds in the case :O.... oh my cheeky bastards..
i wounder it a building supply shop would have them in decent amounts..?
 
Anyone know a contact for heeled .32 bullets for the .32? All the factory bullets I've got measure out at .310" to .313" O.D. Theoretically you could convert the gun to center fire then load a .32 short colt case loaded with 10 grains of black powder and a heeled .313" bullet...... Should retain antique status as it is not a commercial caliber and bullet dimension is larger than a standard prohib .32.

As far as adapting the cases to shoot a blank, the cases we've been playing with accept a centered .22 blank instead of the HC type with the offset. It does not work in all revolvers though, as some of mine do not strike far enough in to the center to fire the blank.
 
ok. so ive come across a chap who has a couple of 100 rnds of .32 rimfire ammo , mostly decent to shoot, mostly canadian stuff and some navy arms and other, he wants a ...... very good price for the ammo!!!.. i mean very good..

hes in the u.s......... im going to the u.s. for a few weeks.. but....... im flying ....
and i would rely like to know if anyone knows what is the deal with collectors ammo......

as bugger me if id pass this up,. but id like to bring it in my luggage...... but i realy wounder who i would ask about this.. customs i guess... but i cant think they would know correctly, is there something online stating the status of antique ammo..
also i am not a canadian citizen. so although i have a gun license it is not canadian.....

if it all comes to #### i guess i would just have a blast and shoot al the newer ammo down there and then the older stuff give away to anyone who collects it...

hmm . youd think they wouldnt be the trouble. as it is ammunition after all and isnt normaly a problem to bring into the country in your luggage as long as you declare it and such.... the america side i dont think would be a problem, it would be back here. as there buying ammo dosnt need a license and can be obtained by anyone in most states, but here me not being a canadian....... and the customs proably not knowing what "antique ammunition" is.. that would rather be the problem..

anyway ill see the guy has got about 500 rounds. all shootable, but he wants a bit for some of the older stuff. other boxes hes after a good price for..
 
Epps told me the reason their .32 rim ammo was not allowed for import was the lack of a caliber stamping on the base. Canada import laws do not allow for its import (althopugh they still import .22 and 17).
