hmm . youd think they wouldnt be the trouble. as it is ammunition after all and isnt normaly a problem to bring into the country in your luggage as long as you declare it and such.... the america side i dont think would be a problem, it would be back here. as there buying ammo dosnt need a license and can be obtained by anyone in most states, but here me not being a canadian....... and the customs proably not knowing what "antique ammunition" is.. that would rather be the problem..

anyway ill see the guy has got about 500 rounds. all shootable, but he wants a bit for some of the older stuff. other boxes hes after a good price for..

If its old orignal ammo its Black powder im pretty sure Black powder would be considered and Explosive.
So id say No in the planes cargo hold even.

Just a little info you should know
First if you are in Canada and plan to take your Antique gun into the US you will have to fill out a lot of paperwork with both the US & Canadian customs or it will get confinscated.
2nd As far as bringing ammo back the US has very strict laws banning this as part of the home land security act same for bullets unless you go through a US exporter & Canadian importer.
and most important the airlines have a 0 policy on tranporting ammo in your luggage

I bought some Navy Arms 32 short rimfire last year at a gun show (6 boxes)for $100 a box of 50 rounds . The same vendor still has 1 box but now wants $150. for it.
I shot 25 rounds & had 1 dud not too bad for obsolite ammo that hasent been made for years.
Also shipping ammo by post is ilegal , You don't want to try that either.
Try the gun shows and you should be able to find some.
