Hello,

I recently inherited a .32 colt pocket positive from my Grandfather, and I was hoping to find some ammunition to shoot it for old times sake. I believe it can handle .32 short or .32 long (please let me know if I am mistaken!). The stamp says "pocket positive .32 colt ctg".

Does anyone know where I could find ammunition of this calibre in Canada?

Cheers

Winchester still makes .32 Short Colt, you will need to call around and look a bit, but it's there. A box of 50 will probably cost upwards of $25 but you won't be shooting this one much anyway.

Gun shows, of course. You'll find both long and short there.

The Colt Pocket Positive is chambered for the .32 Colt New Police round. This is almost identical to the .32 Smith & Wesson Long cartridge. The revolver will also handle .32 Smith & Wesson Short. These cartridges are all slightly larger in diameter than the .32 Short Colt and .32 Long Colt. Do not use .32 Short Colt and .32 Long Colt in this gun or you will rupture the cases.
.32 Smith & Wesson Short or Long cartridges would work fine in this gun if the gun is in good enough condition to fire.
