I managed to buy a '59 model 94 in 32 special for 50 bucks but can't find ammunition for it

Do any dealers carry ammunition for this calibre or is the only option to reload?

**edited because my damn phone likes to change words just to screw with me*&

Winchester, Federal and Remington make it. Sounds like a trip to PG is in order or mail order.

Great deal by the way!

Almost as good as the Winchester 94 30-30 a buddy just up and gave me one day.

.32 Specific! New caliber! :p Ah, just teasing. The words that iPads, etc. pick for you are hilarious sometimes.

Years ago, I spell checked a coworker's name. It came out as Vampire Garble. Needless to say, that's what we called her ever after. We even made up a sign for her office door. She was a good sport. She could dish it out as well as take it.

Back to your rifle. I use an old (1957) 94 in .32 Specific for whitetail out here on the Prairies. Grand old cartridge for a grand old rifle! Enjoy! :)

Our local stores all carry .32 Special... even CT. I shot 20 or so deer, 30 years ago, with a 50's 94 in .32 Spl... I imagine it still works fine.

I got a 32 Sp as well, here in BC both Cabelas and Wholesale Sports carry ammo. Prices are a bit high, $35-43 a box but keep an eye when ammo goes on sale and you can get it for somewhat reasonable price.

I owned a 1950's 94 carbine in .32 Special about 20 years ago.

Great rifle and very accurate.

One time at the range I shot several rounds out of a magazine load. Blam, blam, blam, boom. Boom??

When I ejected the "boom" casing, it looked normal until I checked the head stamp. Sure enough, .30-30.

The casing appeared perfectly normal because the rounds are so similar. So I tossed it in with the other casings for reloading as .32 Special.

So, I guess if .32 Special casings become difficult to find, you could always blow out .30-30 casings by using correct fire-forming procedures, and happily reload these.

Many years ago I was given a 1957 Model 94 in 32 Winchester Special... in the original canvas case.

I bought up every box of ammo that I could find for the next ten years and now I reload for it.

If you're interested, I could dig up my load data and share it with you.

By the way, this Model 94 was the very first open sight rifle that I owned with which I could ring the gong out at 200 yards, and further... twenty years later and I have trouble seeing 20 yards without some sort of optical aid... anyway...

PM me if you'd like that load data.

Good luck and enjoy.
