320 cartridge Information

I have a double barrel sxs hinge handgun chambered in .320
I don't have any ammunition or cases for it.
Have you ever reloaded for it or come across the ammo or made cases for it.
I heard Fiocchi made some ammo for it not to long ago.

Has anyone re-chambered a 320 to a common cartridge?

If you have experience with this chambering I would love to hear from you.

32 Short Colt brass should work. I think I have some small 8mm jacketed bullets for it, but you would be better off with some 32 cal lead SWC bullets.

Use the Start load for the 32 Colt.

.32 short colt and possibly.32 long colt should chamber and fire in most guns made in .320. I have personally used .32 short colt in one of my .320 revolvers and it works well.

Thanks for the replies. I did find some .320 at a gun show and bought some to experiment with.
Sounds like I should be trying .32 short colt as well.

32long Colt will work. I have a 32 long centerfire in a single shot Ballard rifle. .309 work well if base is spun down to fit inside case. Rifle was made before 1898 and before Stevens took over Ballard.

Is your rifle 32 Ballard Long, or 32 Colt Long? Quite a difference.
