Due to dancing bananas I wonder why you didn't create a decendent of the .375 Ruger instead of using an "obsolete" parent cartridge.....

338-375 Ruger kick too hard in a 7.5lb rifle and I don't need the velocity.

30-06 case design is hardly obsolete. Do you even hunt?

338/06 will make an amazing elk/moose rifle inside normal hunting ranges , similar to my favorite caliber the 35 whelen. your 338/06 looks great , keep us posted on how it works for you this season

Very nice build. It doesn't really get much better than that for an all around NA rifle.

Here is the .338-06 suppressed that I used in South Africa. It belonged to the PH. The shot was 230M rested on the dash of the Land Rover with engine off, of course. Three hours of chasing a herd to get one of only two that were brown.

That looks alot more like a BOSS than a suppressor? how loud was it?
