338-378 Weatherby Magnum powder choice?

Hi all,

I am in the middle of purchasing a 338-378 weatherby mark v

The previous owner has been using reloder25, but I am reading on quite a few websites that H1000 or Retumbo is the way to go.

Should I move to a Hodgdon powder?

Wow! How many grains of powder is behind that 225?

Since I am only paper target shooting at Edson AB range, wondering if I should go with a lighter OTM for distances past 1200m. Don't know if I should go with Lapua Scenars

My buddy seems to be getting decent results with Retumbo. Use a hot primer too, like the WLRM (reportedly the hottest one out there).
