Hello,

Stupid question but, can'y find nothing in my far area

Looking for .338 Lapua Magnum die set, if possible the 3 dis set (including neck and full lenght)

I have found redding on e-bay but need to know, will they fit in my RCBS Ruck Chucker ??

When i talk about .338 lapua magnum here, in my local gun shop, they laugh at me and say i'am wrong, and it is .338 win mag, 338 ultra mag and so lolll

Will show him the rifle when receive it lolll

Thank's

Redding, RCBS , Hornady and Lee all use the same 7/8 thread, so yes the dies will fit your press. 338 lapua is going to be a bit hard to fit into the opening of your rockchucker if you plan to use big bullets like the 300 gr MKs.
Not impossible to do just not as handy as the big opening in a Redding Ultramag press.

For the really large cases, you need a really large press. The rockchucker should work, but it'll be on the small side. Virtually all reloading dies work in all presses.

What kinda rifle did you order?

A TRG-42 in .338 lapua should be here in few week now, mid may it seem, the scope is already in store and i have all the bell and whissle with me too so i whant to reload few round to try the toy when it show at my door lolll

Is there any of theses die here in Canada or i go with e-bay, it was 89.95 for the 3 die set ??

Sendero

BTW : Thank's for your help

I'm not sure about retailers in Canada carrying dies for the Lapua magnum, but they can be purchased from Sinclair International.
A 3 die set of Reddings in 338 Lapua goes for 91.90 USD. plus shipping etc.
Their website is; www.sinclairintl.com
Not sure if your set on E-bay is used or not but if you are stuck you might want to try Sinclair.I have purched many products from them without any problems.

I was able to load .416 Rigby on my Rockchucker, but you are right - it's tight, and you can pinch your fingers seating bullets.

I'm using a Rock Chucker Supreme and Redding dies. Make sure you get the correct bushings when you order the dies. I don't find it tight to load my 300 gr. bullets and I have some big mitts on me.

I really like the bushings as you get to control the case neck tension, I use .365 and then .364, make sure to hold the case in the die for 30 seconds each time and load the bullets that day.

Good luck and If you have any questions please feel free to PM me for a hand.

Try P&D in Edmonton for the dies.

I too had a problem convincing a salesman at Wholesale sports that YES, there is a difference between a Win mag and a Lapua.

I used a TRG-42 in .338 Lapua and wrecked 2 Leupold mark 4 scopes. We got the scopes warrantied but my opinion is get the muzzle break. I didn't mind the recoil but it collapesed the bipod legs on me a couple of times as well. It could have just been that gun but who knows???

Sendero,

Don't worry about the size of the press, I loaded .338 Lapua on my BCBS Partner press for over a year with no problems. I also shoot a TRG 42, if you need any advice or load info let me know.

I agree, it's not so hard on press.
I reload 338 Lapua on a Lee Challenger press and I have no clearance problem and Press did not self destruct yet :D

I had no problem to find 338 Lap. dies last year. Usually everything I order is on back order but die set was there in 2 days and from a canadian store.

Just because a product is on WSS's website (or catalog) doesn't mean that it's in stock, has ever been in stock, or can even get it at all.
