.338 Edge Completed

Jerry,

Yup I'll be at Summerland next year!

I'm sure the Edge and the 300Win are going to be shooters, but I've never had much luck getting the 223 to bughole...No excuses this time!

I see your working up your 223 loads a tenth at a time?....Obviously I'm not used to little cases.
Can you see the difference a tenth makes at 200 yards?
I can see 1/2 grain on my 300Win, but I must admit a tenth blows my mind!!

Xfan, looking forward to seeing you next year. Just keep an eye out and sign up early cause I think it will fill up quickly.

At 200yds, variations in 1 tenth gr in my 223 is indeed visible. It can also cause the groups to clock - that's always fun to watch.

Shouldn't surprise you that 1 tenth matters in a 223 case. I am using 24gr of powder. A 300WM is using 70 something grains or about 3 times as much.

So going up in 1 tenth is the same as 3 tenths in the 300WM. I usually go up in 2 or 3 tenths with this size of case. Shows up at 200yds if the rifle/setup is accurate enough. 1/2 gr is a bit too coarse for my liking.

Jerry
