338 edge

Simple question: I now own a 338 RUM, is it possible to get it rechambered in 338 edge? without changing the barrel.
I know: not so much power over it, will be probably better with a new barrel and so on ...
But is it possible like the way it is?

The 338 Edge is not based on the 338 RUM but rather the 300 RUM.

You may be able to but the bigger question would be why bother?

I own an Edge and it does not seem that much better than the LM or RUM.

The .338 Edge and the .338 Ultra Mag are the same 'caliber' -> .338", so your barrel can be used... I don't know why you would want to though... The Edge is best with custom 28 or 30 inch barrels.

What they said and by the way do not get talked into a 338 edge a.i. ,because there is zero gain over a regular edge.

So basically I'm stuck with an extra .338 Lapua barrel that can only be used on my 110 fcp hs precision.I had really hoped to fit that to a Stevens action.

"...hoped to fit that to a Stevens action..." Can't do it. The Lapua's case is shorter than the RUM's 2.724" and it's case head is bigger. You can't add material.
