Howdy folks, I'm currently working with a guy who owns and shoots a 338 imperial mag that was built on a sako action. He's been complaining on the price of brass for this beast. Knowing that the Imperial line of cartridges are credited as being one of the main precursors to the Remington Ultra Mag line along with Dakota Arms both being takes on the 404 Jeffrey Case. I'm curious, seeing as I can't find the Imperial's case dimensions on the google machine on my Blackberry. I know the Imperial has a rebated rim to fit a standard magnum action bolt face and fits the action length. Can 338 Imperial brass be formed out of 300 or 338 RUM Brass, has anyone done this?
