I got this same rifle in trade as a friend owed me some cash, have shot it a few times but not with my own handloads . What have you found that really works for this rifle, powder, primer,bullet combo ......ect. Also was trying to find if one can buy a or the set trigger for it as that was an original offer for this rifle from sako???? Thanks

Hornady 250 grain HPBT moly coated, H 1000, Federal 215, Lapua brass, seated 20 thou. off the lands = under 1/2 MOA. BUT, it only does this when I do my bit

If it costs like most Sako accessories, you'd be better off just buying another rifle. Perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised though. How about it GB, who do you talk to and how much? - dan

You are right about that, buying another rifle will make more sense that putting more money into a sako M995, but there are people willing to pay the price, here are another stock made my ASBury, will cost $2550USD, I would rather get another Tikka T3 in 300winmag, and see if you can open up the bolt face to .600 to accomodate the 338lapua, or just keep it 300winmag or 7mm remmag, either way you win, there are company in the us coming out with SAKO TRG 42 style, but inlet for the Tikka T3, also this summer the addition of a Sako TRG42 stock for the SAkO M995. this stock are already out in the us, some time this summer it will reach CANADA.

That's the stock made by Kinetic Research Group. I checked it out at SHOT this year and they are planning to offer the platform for various actions. But if I remember correctly, the base price tag is 1K+

I think it was because the US army was soliciting for an upgraded platform for their M24, we saw a s**t load of modular stock designs presented at SHOT, all with some sort of folding adjustable stock mechanism. You might be able to do some research and find something that will house the Sako action.

Sako price just took another jump from 4500 to 5000 for Trg42.
