.338 LM rifle

Why would you figure a custom would be less durable than a production rifle?

I believe he is worried about chipping the camo spray paint finish on his rifle.

I took my custom 338LAI to Africa, where it got bounced about in the Landcruiser for 2 weeks and successfully killed everything I aimed it at.
If I owned an ATV would not hesitate to take the rifle where it needed to go.

Is that the one living in my safe now ??
If so it just keeps working better than ever...
However, I do find it a bit heavy to carry lately so now I might start looking for a younger, stronger wife to pack it around. :D

No you had that 1 prior to the May 2007 African adventure, which is why it has so few marks on it:p

Does your lovely wife ever read these posts?:nest: She may have some slightly different ideas and plans, I would recommend sleeping with all eyes open:p

Actually it landed in my hands Apr.26/08.
The very first time I cleaned it a tuft of what seemed to be Eland hair fell out of the muzzle brake.
No worries about my Dear Wife....I only joke, we are together forever. :)

Sorry for the hi-jack Mattmoser...

Keep up with the bantering, its all good. I'm not worried about using my rifles nor do i think customs can't handle the atv. What I am looking for is some feed back of the timberwolf, I have spoken to some member who own one and they seam to like it. I am new to the .338LM and long distance shooting in general so any feed back is good, I can filter, BS in BS out if you know what i mean.

I don't own a Timberwolf, but the rifle does have one of the best look appearance, also would agree that is one of the best performer, saw one Coyote 7.62 shot at a range one, it does 5 round in a small hold not larger than 45cal size, that was Federal gold match, If you looking to spend alot of money on a rifle that you can get most of the money back down the road, Timberwolf would be one of them, there is also AI, Sako, stick to main brand and you do OK, if you wanted custom go to the Trader section on Gunnutz.

Gunboy, I am curious if you have ever fired a 338 Lapua rifle? Also curious if you have ever reloaded for 338 Lapua.

Last night I hammered 50 rounds at 700, 850, and 975. Today I shall reload 115 rounds.
Future shooting will be focused upon filling in the gaps between 700 and 1000 in 25 yard increments and building a drop sheet. (I may opt for 10 yard increments, time, patience and weather permitting).

Probably not as he is always too busy shooting off other things, but for true expert internet advice on everything he has never owned , he is a man outstanding in his field.

#### Right about that, never going to own an ATR for sure.
Well Never say never, Some day I might own one for a Chin up bar.

just because I had a hard on for Timberwolf, Right away I get the attack.

Wow 10 yard increment, why don't you just do it at 1yard increment, what a Genius, and You don't even have a clue of how to use a Camera to post you picture of your Gun for Sale, How about I make you a good deal for the barrel of your rifle, I need a Chin UP bar for my Backyard.

You go look ATRS website. Look same as A5 custom ones he do.

You can put barrel between legs and ride it like My Little Pony.

Just get back on topic here, I don't own a 338lapua rifles any more, nor do I wanted to get another one, I am sure 308 is more than sufficient, but If I wanted one in that Caliber, Timberwolf would make a great choice, there is also AI and SAko. That would be My choice if I was going to spend that much.
