I have done some work with this rifle ,I found some woodleigh 200 grain designed for the 33 win ,the cannelure is wrong for the 338 marlin .My question is where to find a crimping die for this ,also with the cannelure in the wrong place will this affect accuracy? the dies I have by redding have only a roll crimp and with cannelure in wrong place I dont think the roll crimp will be adequate for tube fed mag .I dont like the ftx bullets ,sure they have good ballistic coefficient ,but they are fragile The buck I shot with my 308 mx and the ftx bullet was not impressive .Yes the buck died but it separated from the jacket and @90 yards did not exit on a broad side shot it ran for 150 yards . not what I want when the chips are down .So i found some woodleighs and hoping they will group
