338 marlin

I've read that the 338 Marlin ammo is still not available in Canada due to some RCMP approval issue. Is this true or false? I'm thinking of getting one of these, but I won't if there is no ammo available. Also are reloading equipment and supplies available in Canada now?
 
I have two boxes of 338 ME ammo that the local gunshop ordered in for me. I don't know it wholesalesports or Cabelas canada has it yet.

The reloading dies you can get from Hornady for sure.

My problem is not with reloading toold or cartridges but getting the rifle, as I can't find a retailer that can order my one!
 
7.62 - A friend mulled over buying a 338 Express for some time and finally bought one from Bartons in Grande Prairie. He had no problem finding a rifle. Wholesale had them in stock as did Cabelas in Winnipeg. Ammo has been a problem but he recently got 3 boxes so he is good to go.
 
It's based on the 376 Steyr. I think it would be an interesting case to work with if you were to throw them in a lathe and knock the rim off/
