There is no such animal, it's either 308 Norma mag or 358 Norma mag.

It's New, based on the same case as 338 lapua, shortened a bit with slightly steeper shoulder angle.

It is definatley a real cartrige and it could be a real up and comer. It is based off the .338 Lapua, shortened with minimal taper and blown out shoulders. I suppose it kinda like a "Lapua Short Mag". It gets almost the same preformance as the .338 RUM, Lapua and EDGE but with a shorter barrel (or so they say) and it fits a standard 3.6 mag well with 300grain SMK's loaded out far so as not to interfer with Powder capasity. Norma makes good brass so I dont see it as being hards on cases.
I was skeptical and still am, but its deffinatley got my attention. I have heard of quite a few guys really loving them in hunting rifles.

Ballistically it's a 340 Wby. Much better brass I would expect though. - dan

I am off the belief like others that the 300/338 Norma mag would be a better alternative. Dave tooley currently builds rifles in the chambering
