Hey Yall, Just picked up a 338 RCM and am gonna start working up a load for late season timber hunting, wondering if anyone on here has one and if they've any feedback on potential starting points for good loads for it

I would highly reccomend buying a usable amount of brass and all the dies if you haven't already. Short productions runs especiallly with high power rifles can create vault queens. I have a 338 RUM that I really enjoy shooting as I'm always looking to add componets to reuse. Hope you enjoy the RCM for years to come.

I've been shooting my 338RCM since last spring, and it is a great little cartridge.
I've settled on RL15 as my powder of choice and hornady 200 gr SST. Keep your loads reasonable, it is a very accurate cartridge.
The only othe bullet I've tried is some old 180 grain ballistic tips again with RL15.
My rifle is just a little hard to hang onto on the bench but groups under an inch are no problem.
I think if more people tried it they would be surprised. I just wish Remington would put it in thier model 7.

I have 3 boxes of Hornady brass and RCBS dies so I got that covered

any experiance with those 200 SST on game? I just don't want anything that is gonna blow up at close range because that is what its intended purpose is, but I do want good expansion and brutal energy transfer for fast kills
