Its a Bunch of Mod $$ work better off to find a M700 RUM action ! RJ
Your question made me curious............so I went down to my vault, where I have several factory RUMs and many factory standard belted magnums in 700 Rems. There is only a very slight difference at the back of the feed lips. A standard belted action would have to be opened up just slightly and make the triangular openings in the mag box to accommodate the fatter case for 3 under. The action feeds the RUM case perfectly as it is, you just can't pop the case down through the feed lips at the back to load the magazine. All in all I would say it would take me about 1/2 hr to maybe an hour, to make the standard belted mag action function perfectly with a RUM case.
The walls on the magazine box will need to have slots cut out on them also.
Widen out feed rails a bit and put a RUM mag box.
A ton of .338 Edges got made out on Magnum
Remington actions around here.
My Bad, I guess I blew right past that. Still a pile of work and a chance of having issues. Like was mentioned earlier, maybe keep an eye out in the EE for a donor already set up for the RUM's.
So what you're telling me is that I can get a 338 edge built!? I thought I needed a fancy extra long action for that!

You could even do it with a flat file in a few minutes if you wanted to. If your file somehow managed to go full-auto on you and you were left standing in a pile of excess shavings, there's still the center feed Wyatt box as a plan B.
