338 vs 300 win?

Best running shot I ever made (The only one) was at a Mule Buck lasered afterward at 230 yds. 338wm 250 gr Interlock. Piled up instantly. Saddest shot was at a smaller WT buck 50 yds away head on , flipped it over backwards, it got up and ran off. Good blood trail and then it stopped bleeding, we never did find it.

338 all day the bigger diameter lays them out. Have shot the 300’s and the 338 and 358 tend to drop them in their tracks.. also prefer for the g bears which can try to wreck your day.
308 with a 180 is also suitable for for Moose.
Much cheaper and easily available ammo.
Recoil is negligible, barrel is shorter, gun is lighter.

Also let's not forget the percentage that can take a Moose on the gallop 28 minutes after sunset with a 22-250 with iron sights at 650 yards and 40klm crosswinds in a heavy downpour in 6 foot tall brush
