Hi,

Just starting to reload my .338 Tikka WM. Looking at pushing 225g Nos. Any suggestions for hunting loads? (ie. moose/elk) Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I use 73 grains of IMR 4831 under a 225 grain Nosler Partition, chronied 2812 in my rifle. But as always start at the lower charges and work up.

Try Reloder 19, it really shines with the 210 and 225 Noslers. Regards, Eagleye.

I don't know how true this is ,as NPs are too expensive for testing,but I heard NPs take a faster powder.Like RL-19 instead of the usual caseful of RL-22. I use N-560,but it didn't work with NPs,however Accubonds.......

I've used both the RL22 and the RL19 in my 225 accubonds and I found the RL19 worked better-sorry I don;t have my load here but it was the max load in the latest nosler manual.

i have found an awsome load for a 225 partition in 338WM, 78gr of H4831 at 2950fps. in a 24'' tube, my rifle has had the throat opened up so that may have accounted for some of the speed, the accuracy is also excellent.

My T-3 will shoot Moa with H-4350 and 250 grain sierra Game kings. Did not shoot 225s as well.
