What is max weight of powder in this combination?
Barnes site listed 67,5 gr as max and compressed with COL 3.340.

To be 0.050" off lands my COL is 3.370 so I should have more space in shell to accept more powder.

For 225 gr HDY SP Hodgdon is listing 72.0 gr as max and compressed load.

How you know that this is compressed load to the max ?

The Barnes .338 225gr. bullet is longer than the Hornady 225gr. SP so it'll have reduced powder capacity. Also, the ogive is farther out so make sure you measure you rifles OAL with a Barnes bullet and cleaning rod.

For this reason you'll experience lower velocities than the regular 225gr. bullets, like 2800fps, instead of 2900fps. Maybe go to the Barnes 210gr. TSX.
