Been loading the 338 for 25+ years. Been through Rel. 19 and 22. They're good powders. I shot the 250 Nosler for many years. 2750 is pretty much max. I supppose 2850 may be approachable in some individual gun but I'd take that with a grain of salt.

just thought I'd add that my previous 250 gr. load was 74 grs. Rel.22 for 2660 fps. now my barrel is only 23 but that was full power in my gun. I think I have a tight barrel but I've owned several 338s over the years, nothing magical to be found.

I have loaded for my 338 since 1980 and have used Hornady 225 loaded with 72 grains of H-4831 a wonderful load killed 14 moose with it all 1 shot kills. and aboput 20 Whitetails impressive results very little meat damage. last fall I tried a new load with 180 Accubond loaded with 75 grains of RL-19 very fast hits really hard, killed a cow moose at 150 yards 1 shot and 2 whitetails out to 350 yds no mess, no chase, Works wonders
