338 win mag...which one????

Hello!

I would like to buy a new 338 MAG rifle and I have choice between these rifle.
I will use this rifle for hunting and maybe some target shooting.
Which one would you suggest me.

SAVAGE 116FHSAK OR 111FHNS
WEATHERBY Vanguard sub-moa blue or stainless
Remington 700 XCR or 700AWR but much more expensive
Kimber 8400

If possible, find a Winchester M70 classic stainless in 338.

Of the choices listed, I'd get a standard stainless Vanguard.

With the exception of the Savage, there's not much price difference in your choices. I'd go with the XCR.

Since price isn't a big deal, you might also want to add Sako rifles to your list.

They'll all shoot moa or better. Is it a target gun or a hunting gun? I too would take the Sako over the rest, with the Rem in 2nd, if money is not an issue.

They all float my boat, but the Kimber makes me drool, My 338mag is an Albeison, and my 7mm is a weatherby mk 5, but they are all great guns

My friend have a 700 AWR and it shoot sub-moa with 3 different load. That gun is custom made and very light too , so be sure that the recoil won't botther you because you will have to put a muzzle brake.
