Did some more shoosting today...This thing is sick...:p:D

Ran some through the chrony as well, reading 2798, 2784, 2787. Speed could come up a bit, but its a great load, so I'll likely leave it at that. Nothing wrong with a 225gr @ ~2800...:)

I bought this tripod at XS-Cargo for $20, man does it work slick...

Started on a load for 200gr intlerlocks as well, not done yet though...

Sweet rifle blargon !!

I like the idea of the 338-06 build....I love the 338-06 Ackley I had made last year on my Sako m75 Greywolf. Shoots very tight 225 AB's.

Thought it would recoil more.....my 270WSM with 140gr AB's feels more recoil.

DO THE 338-06......no pressure.....lol

I looked up last night......330 Dakota looks very interesting.

15% more case capacity over a 338WM. Based on a 30-06 case

Might be my next wildcat for something different......hmmm now I need another Sako m75 IV action. Macmillan stock - it almost Christmas right??:D

Read up on it again in my Nosler Reloading Manual #6

Actually the 330 Dakota is based a shortened and improved 404 Jeffery that can utilize a 30-06 size action.;) Looks like a neat caliber though, don't know how hard it would be to get brass for it (.404 re-sized?). I like the idea of a 338-06 and think I may build one myself one of these days, but Bartell had a good point that is probably cheaper just by reduced loads. The 338-06 just seems to have that cool factor though. Looks good Blargon

Digger

MAN! I wish my groups looked like that!

So lemme see if I've got this straight.... Rem 700 in a sako stock???

Sort of. Its a McMillan Fibreglass stock that is shaped like a Sako 75 stock. They are inletted by CNC machining, so they just take the blank stock and run the program for a Rem 700 and its a drop-in fit. They do several different actions on variations of that stock, including Savage, Ruger, Sako, Rem 700, 721, 722, M7, Win M70...

Hard to beat the 340Wby too!
You can actually get brass for that one. ;)
