Wonder how well this would hold up on a 50bmg as I too am looking for quick release 34mm mount???

I have lots of Larue stuff including magnified scope mounts like the LT-104 SPR so not knocking the LArue...
IMO for a heavy scope on a heavy kicker such as a 338 Lapua or 50 with a muzzle brake I don't think Larue is a good choice
With a muzzle brake ( actually harder ...lots of info on internet so I will spare you the details ) you will see movement in these mounts. The recoil lug on these mounts always have some fore aft movement
Not saying this will be bad for accuracy etc , but you can see the movement by putting a dot of paint on the mount and pounding a bunch of rounds ( thats how I noticed )
For your 50 cal you are much better served with something that has the cross bolt clamp . Torqued to the 65in lb spec they will not move
As far as the quick release of the larue / amd / GDI I guess its critical if you want to drop the optic to use your BUIS but other than that the cross bolt mounts are not that hard to take off
Just pick up a preset Seekonk 65in lbs torque wrench . I can drop the scope in less than 20 sec . Bit longer to torque back but well worth the better holding power
NEAR Alphamount ( Richard great to deal with ) or Spuhr makes great one piece 34mm mounts
Lots of advantages of these mounts over a Larue LT-120 . In all fairness the NEAR and Spuhr are a lot more spendy...but since you have a 50Cal i doubt that you would care
