348 Winchester into 43 Mauser

I picked up two boxes of 348 Winchester brass and I want to make 43 Mauser from them. They almost fit but stick about .5" from the end. Do I need to put them through a sizing die or do I turn them down on a lathe? Any ideas appreciated.

I've never done it but the base on the .348 is much wider then the 11mm and in my opinion could not be reduced even with base sizing dies. Why not just get new brass for the 11mm?

I think that is probably the best idea. But I thought I would ask if there is a way to use these casings.
