34mm rings

What are you guys finding is the best set of 34mm rings? They are going to go on a S&B Pm2.

I use Badger High alloy rings on my S&B PM-II (56mm Obj.)............I have had several sets of Badger and never had an issue with them..........

have used TPS rings as well with no issues, but I don't know if they make a 34mm High ring.........

I found a real lacking of 34mm rings that were low enough to mount my new S&B 12x50, on to my 338 LAI so we now make our own 34mm rings. They are made in matched identical pairs at the same time to a tolerance of .0001 out of 4140, then blud. Gotta love the EDM for making precise things.
Hope to get photos up in our forum shortly.

im using the near alpha mount on my S&BPM II, yup its pricey compared to s starndard set of rings, but its nice being able to add in MOA to the mount instead of needing a super thing rail to get the desired MOA.

so far so good, scoped hasnt shifted , moved or have a mark after sitting atop my LM. i think my other SB will be sitting in another alpha mount when it arrives

Near the way to go. Alphamount top picture, his regular rings bottom. Why bother with cheap s**t when you dealing with a $ 3k scope:confused: BTW you can mount everything nice nice, zero etc. Then take the rings off the gun and scope. Reassemble, and the gun shoot exactly as before, no rezeroing. I have done it a couple of times:) Oh and by the way, no ugly ring marks on your scope, using Richard's products.

Near rings are great, I have used them on a few rifles(yes spendy but worth it for high end optics). I'm sure Ricks rings will be top notch as well.

I ordered a set of Murphy rings out of the states(from Murphy) because I wanted Titanium or Aluminum rings for a light weight build that I am starting. I ended up getting Titanium extra high rings because from what I cound tell they would work best with the scope/chassis setup that I am going with. Very pricey!(around $300 shipped+exchange...) They are not ###y like a Near, Badger or USO but at 3 oz. for the pair, they will suit my purpose perfectly. I'll try to post a pick over the weekend.

It might be a while, but I'll post my thoughts when I get it mounted. First impressions are it's built like a tank, the knobs are great, the glass is superb in my opinion. I got the g2dmr reticle. I like that the reticle lines are half the thickness at the centre for the first half mil on both axis. So the outer reticle is visible at 3.5 power and the inner isn't overly large at 21 power.

Think I'm going to go with tps super lows in steel.

This is the exact same set up I have planned for my M1A. I kinda want to go Vortex PST again just to give them one more try because they do seem impressive but I've seen a video of the HDMR's box test and it looks promissing.

Look forward to hearing more about yours!

I'm torn between putting mine on my match m14 or on my 5r.

I succumbed in the end because le baron had them on for $1415. They then had a 15% members sale and it also qualifies for $75 off Bushnell promo.
So That was $1200 before tax with a further $75 off.
